SUPREME AUDIT INSTITUTION (SAI) PAKISTAN APPOINTED INDEPENDENT EXTERNAL AUDITOR OF IACA, VIENNA Islamabad, 9 October 2026:                       
The Board of Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Vienna, has appointed Dr. Tafakhar Ali Asdi, Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan, as Independent External Auditor of the Academy for 2028–2030.
This is SAI Pakistan’s first such appointment after 2013 as external auditor of UNIDO. The present appointment was secured through dedicated efforts under the guidance and supervision of the Auditor General of Pakistan, H.E. Maqbool Ahmad Gondal.
IACA’s selection of SAI Pakistan shows the international community’s trust in the professional capabilities of the officers of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service. It also reflects Pakistan’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance.
The Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan will continue to serve the nation and the international community with professionalism and integrity.
